Christmas Eve Day Fun!

Merry CHRISTmas Eve Day! We started the morning with our Advent calendars, reading Bible verses, and putting baby Jesus in the manger. Since we usually have to travel on Christmas Day (this year is the exception), the kids open their gifts on Christmas Eve Day. So, we opened presents this morning. Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts! The kids LOVED opening presents!!! Tonight, we are looking forward to celebrating Jesus' birth at the Sunday School Christmas program. Last night was the dress rehearsal, so I took some pictures of the boys in their western attire (the Christmas story with a western theme). Hope y'all enjoy the pictures!

Preschool Christmas Program

Last night, we were blessed to see Micah in the Preschool Christmas Program, "Miracle in the Manger". He did such a great job and we are SUPER proud of him!! Before the program, Micah said he wanted to sing with his friends. Well, he did that and more. He spoke lines with his class, sang songs, did actions, and helped to proclaim God's love through Jesus' birth. Lord, thank you for blessing Micah and our family with this special night filled with your love. Thank you for entering our hearts and helping us focus on the real reason for the season. Lord, I just want to thank you.

Micah's Christmas present

It being the last day of preschool before Christmas, Micah brought home a backpack full of goodies. As we were sifting through and opening things, we found a present labeled "For Mom and Dad". After we convinced Micah that the present was indeed for us, we opened it. I was expecting a popsicle stick frame around his school picture or another wonderful homemade present. What we found was completely priceless and will be a heartwarming keepsake for many years to come. I can only imagine how long it took for his preschool teachers to help him create this beautiful calendar (and then doing it again 16 more times for all of the preschool friends in his classroom). As the note home today said, "I hope that when you open the gift your child made for you, you will understand why you did not receive a lot of art projects the last few weeks. You should see them appear a little more regularly after school resumes!" Such a blessing and hope you enjoy too!

Benjamin wanted to read you a story. The story is from our homeschool curriculum and is the second in the box of "Fun Tales". Please enjoy as Benjamin proudly reads "Tap?". I have included the illustrations from the book so you can follow along.
