Today's Picture

Mommy took me outside for about 2 hours today!! I had so much fun. I crawled around on the grass, played with Daddy's basketball, played with sticks, watched Mommy play in the dirt, ate some dirt, and the list goes on and on. Mommy took a picture of me enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. I have to go, it's a little past my bedtime. Love you all!

As Promised...

...here is the video of our big boy feeding himself a Yogurt Melt. He's such a pro. Sorry, just tilt your head to one side to view the video. I never remember to think about how I am holding the camera before I start recording. Enjoy!

Today's News!!!

Our big boy has finally caught on to the idea of feeding himself! Yay!!! Daddy is still at the Annual Minnesota Pastors' Conference (he returns tomorrow afternoon)meanwhile, it is Mommy's job to do everything. So, this morning I strapped our big boy into his high chair and gave him some Mixed Berry Gerber's freeze-dried yogurt bites to calm him down (and hopefully crave his hunger pains a little). He hadn't eaten yet and was very hungry, but I thought it would be safer if I brought down his toys while he was strapped into the seat. That way, there wouldn't be any chance of him trying to follow me up the stairs. So, I gave him two yogurt bites, run upstairs, grab some toys, and run back downstairs. Meanwhile while I was running, our big boy was feeding himself. This is the first time he has fed himself consecutive times in a row; and he's been doing it all day long! I have a feeling life will never be the same again. Praise God for little blessings!

I will have to try and get this on video after Christian returns from his conference. I asked him to take some pictures of the resort in Brainerd. Apparently, they have a total of 5 pools and it's absolutely beautiful! We plan on our whole family making the trip next year!!! God's Blessings on your day!

First Steps

It's been quite a while since I last posted. As you can guess, much has happened in the last weeks. I am continuing training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day in September. Don't worry, I will continue to keep you posted on my progress. Keep checking back! Our big boy is now 13 months old. What a difference a month makes!! I was looking back at his 12-month old pictures with the cuurent ones (I am working to post them)and he has slimmed down quite a bit! I can really tell the change in his face.

Also, the big news for the weekend (and a wonderful Mother's Day present, I might add!) is that he has taken his first few steps. Our big boy is well on his way to walking. He took 2-3 steps on his own for the first time yesterday and did it again today. (Call me if you want the specifics. I'll be glad to share!) He was practicing so many times in a row today that we broke out the camera and took a short video. (I'm still working on getting it posted. I'll find a way.)

Yesterday, we were blessed to attend Cousin Noah's 1st birthday party. It was great fun! It took our big boy about 30 minutes to warm up to all the new "strangers", but after that he was well at home. He took one 30 minute nap all day and was completely exhausted by the time we all got into the car to drive back home. Cousin Noah devoured his strawberry filled cake and enjoyed opening presents. Our son was kind enough to get in on some of the action too! Happy Birthday again Cousin Noah and thanks for having us over for the fun! God's Blessings to you all and enjoy!
